In Event News on February 9, 2011 at 10:54 pm

Hosted by Ellen and Chef Todd Gray of DC’s Equinox restaurant, the District’s most fashionable feet found their way to The Ritz-Carlton on Tuesday February 1st to enjoy a night of champagne and decadent desserts. Hundreds of people and pets came out in the wintery weather to honor the officers of the Washington Humane Society and celebrate the 10th Annual Sugar & Champagne Affair.

Highlights included a roster of over 40 top area chefs and cupcakeries; the amazing dog cake designed by pastry chef Jason Reaves; and, the first-ever food truck gathering outside of the posh hotel serving up an inspired gourmet mobile menu.

A special thanks to Emily Clack Photography for capturing the Sugar & Champagne images for our festive slide show. Enjoy the event recap experience — we hope to see you at the 11th annual celebration in 2012 }
